【英語】the last test

Tomorrow, the last monthly test will come, that's why I'll leave 7th Dec.
so now I'm preparing but it is very hard to learn especially vocabulary.
I could realize that I can get use to speaking and listening up to efforts.
but after all English skill depends on the amount of vocabulary.

I've realized that I have been able to get use to listening and speaking slightly
but it means I have just got phrases that i can express.
by no means it is important for beginner to speak,
but now I realize I need more expression that i want to tell precisely.

Then I try to learn phrasal verbs, It is contained simple words and prepositions,
as look forward to, come across, shop around and so on.
Probably I can't learn a lot of vocabulary,
so I try not to forget words I learnt once and learn phrasal verbs.
it is very effective for me, that's why it is very easy to remember and use in real life.

even though you remember new word, as long as you don't use in your real life
you would forget very very soon soon.
it is nothing but temporally memory.
so what I just want to say is so long as you want to remember new words
you have to imagine situation and circumstance that you can use those words.

off course it is not easy,
and it needs skill to think about something in English.
Keep up each other.

【英語】Clement Town

Finally I could go to Clement Town in Dehradun,
that's why I'm always very busy to study.
Clement town is the place that Tibetan refugees are living,
and there are Buddhism temples and big Buddha statue.

Chikyuno-Arukikata doesn't have the information about it,
after going back to Japan, I'll give them some information with small map.
Dharamsala, McloedGanji and so on, There is a few Tibetan's town in India.
Now I think Clement Town should be add into them.

If you want to go there and start traveling from Delhi,
first of all you have better to come to Dehradun either bus or train.
in case of train, you can get on No,5 Bikram from Dehradun railway station
to Clement town directly.(30 min)
in case of bus, you can get on same Bikram from ISBT.(15 min)

In Clement town I was feeling same as I had reached at Dharamsala.
There is not India. It was very calm, tidy, holy.
It is not so big town compare with McloedGanji
but you could find out something special.
There are a few tourist and a lot of Tibetan.

First I went to see Buddha statue, It might be 50 m I guessed.

Around that, there is blessed Mani wheel and a lot of Tarcho.
Mani wheel is trademark of Tibetan Buddhism and they roll it with praying for peace.
Tarcho is also trademark of Tibetan, It's kind of fag that means peace.

Many Tibetan people and some tourists were having lunch as temple's service,
as it is similar to Golden Temple of Sikh in Amritsar.
I think it means equality and peace.
When I faced a old woman who had handicap and rolled Mani wheel,
I was really impressed the behavior that believe strongly something.

Next I went to Buddhism temple, that name is "THE WORLD PEACE STUPA".
Stupa means monument,
In stupa, there is a main big stupa and a lot of small stupa in large garden.
hundreds of people were playing, relaxing, running, talking with partner
taking pictures, it was so much peaceful.

Inside this Stupa it has small cafe and a few souvenir shops,
it was also small size compare with Mcloedganji as I wrote,
but you can get satisfied with stuff and people.

After going out, I had my favorite Tibetan food, by no means there is a lot of
Tibetan restaurant, I was lucky to find good restaurant!! very very satisfied.
Now i've regreted slightly..I've stayed Dehradun since September,
nonetheless I had never been to Clement Town.
I've decided if I can come to Dehradun again I shall come again there.

【英語】Complainer

Actually, I'm slightly angry with one person, who is complainer.
She is always complaining about meal in front of house helper, besides
that water in India is too much dirty, I can't have spicy food and fresh vegetable,
because vegetable is washed by such dirty water..
and she said such a thing in front of Indian...

Also today's dinner time, she complained again,
she said it was too spicy too spicy please don't make spicy food..
but I thing hostel meal is not spicy recently, maybe house helper has
tried to make low spicy food.

I can't ask directly so I'll write my thought here.
Why did you come to India?
Didn't you know Indian food is spicy and india is famous in SPICE.
nonetheless why did you come to India??
I'd like to recommend you had better go to US. It's near place from your county
compare with India, and you can absolutely find something no spicy in US.

a while ago she said 'I'm interested in Indian culuture'.
if you are interested in it, please adapt it.
and never complain about India in front of me.
by all means I came to india, that's why I really really interested in Indian culture
and food, religion, people, life style, songs, movie and so on.
your behavior means YOU FOOL PEOPLE WHO IS INTERESTED IN INDIA
like me. I know you have good nature, but if you'll continue it you would be a awful..
I can't feel you are interested in India.

I've recognized meaning that person who is not invited by India doesn't have to
come to India. India is totally different from any other countries.
Probably I could not feel any interest from any other countries for a while,
after finishing this odyssey.

【英語】the most valuable thing

Today's topic is "what is your most valuable abstract thing?"
my answer is YES the experience in India.
Actually I wanted to come to India so long time back,
and am interested at Indian culture and food, therefore I have started cooking
Indian food and studying Hindi language.
Besides there is a lot of place that attracted me, like holy place, ancient place,
place that based on religions.

As you know A lot of religion was originated from India.
Hindi, Buddhism, Jainism, Shik, and so on. (Buddhism is part of Hindism)
After coming to India, I have been able to learn religion.
my teacher has great intelligence about religion.
whenever I asked him, He answered for my irritated questions.
off course he is genuinely kind for everyone as well.

Actually I'm grad I choose Rose Mount Institute.
There are good teachers, and they all are very strict and very gentle.
Maybe you know Indian hierarchical relationship is very strict,
thus I'm calling teacher ma'am and a elder person sir or ji.
As you know India has caste discrimination system since ancient.
that's way it is still left.

So RoseMount teachers teach English and Hindi powerfully and strictly.
if I can not catch up with the class they request me to attend lower class.
to tell the truth I changed the intermediate class into fundamental class
at once, it's just because my English is terribly poor at that time.
but now I have been able to attend intermediate again.
I hope It means my english has improved.
now only a month left for me, so I'm just last spurting till the time that is end.

After finishing all my class, I mean to go to some place in India.
probably I'll go to Varanasi, Buddagaya, Khajuraho and so on.
they are famous in ancient temple and place.
All I want to say is India has a lot of wonderful place based on own history.
A month ago, I posted the blogs that I went to Dharamsala, Mcloedganji, Amritsar ect.
as long as you are in India you are never in trouble about traveling.

Next I know there is some people that are weak in spicy food,
but India is also famous in marvelous delicious spicy foods.
Actually I had confidence that I can cook indian food well before having
indian food in india. after having it I lost all of my confidence about that..
Good information for you, I mean Indian food is not so spicy, some of them is
by no means spicy. In paticuelar area especially south India,
these kind of food is super spicy, you can say it is HOT.
but in north India especially Punjab, it is very delicious as you have never had.

Now I want to say thank to you all and India.
India is anything but easy to understand.
therefore I shall come back.

【英語】what is your ideal xxx

Today's speaking class, ma'am gave me how to make a topic,

it is this kind of form "what is your ideal XX".
you can put any word in XX.

so at first she gave us "what is your ideal parent".

in my opinion, my ideal parent is kind of always thinking about improving.

By all means parent is also human beings and sometimes mistakes.

it is natural behavior and no problem at all itself.

Their kid can see their mistakes, therefore when kids became a father or mother,

they have to improve that. it is a way to be close to my ideal parent.
it is the most important thing to get along with their child(ren).

All person is not perfect, so we spend a lot of time to improve myself.

all I want to say is only that.

though you cannot realize it,

as long as improving yourself, you could be a ideal person closely.

next topic is "what is your ideal job".

my answer is very simple, my ideal job is to be able to enjoy itself and 

find out own goal.

it means if you are feeling your current job is boring,

it is not your ideal job. very very simple so much na??

and even if you enjoy your own job, it has no meaning as long as 

you cannot find your own goal in your job.

Finding out goal is the most important thing during describing ideal job.

Third topic is "what is your ideal partner".

My answer is also simple, about my ideal person, whenever I'm in trouble,

my ideal partner helps me without say nothing.

and I think the good couple can do like that very naturally.

off course it is necessary to get to know each other, it takes a lot of time

my maan says it's at least 5 years.

Good relationship is to make each other and adapt your partner.

I think if I faced a very irritated problem about my relationship

it wouldn't be hard to solve as long as our goal is same.

【英語】Birthday (not mine)

Today 17th Nov, It is the birthday of my hostel member, and even my room mate.
He came from Hamamatsu in Japan.
we planted to go to lunch for Rajpur road.
That restaurant is very new Punjabe restaurant, so I and He
are really into Punjabe, I was looking forward to having it.

But here is India, something happened from out of my control.
At first there are 3 heavy traffic jams.
we left hostel around 1 pm so that reach in there around 1:30..
It took 1 hour to get there and persons who have reached ahead was
waiting for us.

after all member got to there Finally party is started behind 1 hour.
About indian custom, after main person blew candles, guests dirty main person with
cream of cake like putting cream on nose and forehead and so on.
and make main parson have a piece of cake.
I felt he was full at that time.

Then we ordered some Punjabee food,
by no means it was palak paniir, butter chicken and
endless butter naan and plane naan, and roti from panjabee food,
and chicken thika and tandor chicken with merengue from tandor.
from chinese there was fried rice and chomin.
Appetizer is salad with chattonee and coriander paste.

Now you know it was so much potion for us.
The quantity of Indian restaurant is always too much potion.
but in India we can get taking away meals.
therefore we took them to hostel after lunch.

now I have slightly stomachache, that's why punjabee food is famous in
spicy and oily and so so so much delicious.
thus I could not stop to have till i was full.
What would have you done?? if you faced awesome punjabee.

【英語】Easy way to make a topic

In Last friday class, we were doing some activity,
At first we started to write 2 words from same category on a card,
like "pen" or "pencil", "laptop" or "desktop" and so on.
Next put them in box to be invisible, then take 1 card.
and talk about which is important xx or zz.

So we talked about which is important, government school or private school.
The answer is different form Japanese to Indian.
Japanese (our) answer is that government school is more important,
In japan government school is very cheep and you can get well education.
and government school is based on local place.

In my case i went to g.v. school in my elementary and junior high school days.
That time I could get a lot of good friends that was living near my house.
therefore I'm continuing friendship with them and I invited them my wedding party.
It is my treasure.

By all means private school is also good for education.
but it's more expensive compared with government school.
If i will be father and want my kid to educate well,
I might choose private school as long as kids need.

on the other hand, in Indian opinion.
all indian said they would choose private school as much as possible.
because indian government school is too bad.
even if you went to indian government school, you could not get well education.
so there is only choice to go to private school.

I'm not sure how bad indian government school is,
so I can't explain about indian government precisely but now i feel
indian government don't have enough money to care about all indian.
even though the percentage of joblessness is increasing in Japan,
we can get high quality education in japanese government school.

I think we have to thank to Japan again,
now I can recognize in India.

【英語】About Indian woman

From my conclusion, Indian woman nature is
generally explained in either of 2 way,
before getting marriage or after.

In my opinion, regarding people that has not got marriage,
I feel like most of them is much young.
They are always chatting, smiling, laughing loudly like a teenager.
I think age does't matter.
If woman who has not got married is 30 years old, her attitude seems like young.

on the other hand,  regarding people that has got marriage,
they are totally quiet and calm and different from person who hasn't done.
It obviously related their own culture, religion.
if an Indian woman is dating a man and looked by someone,
she will be called as Bitch, Pig!!
It is not allowed to go outside with relationship before getting married.

The friend of mine said if I was taught by a man,
sooner I would tell my parents and brothers,
and ask to beat him till he can't stand by himself.
When i listened to that, I was really surprised.
Totally different from Japanese custom.

In my class they are always talking about love.
I think they have understand their circumstance that woman is facing in India,
but they are interested at love.
so I conclude that they really want to be seeing someone like western films.
but they can not be seeing therefore their interest is getting more.
eventually their attitude looks like teenager or very young.
because they didn't know about man properly.

My hostel mate (she is Indian) said,
Suppose indian woman got married as parental arrange,
it means wife is sacrifice for husband.
80 precent of Indian women have got married by parental arrange.
it depends on family but it related Indian custom. and she continued to say,
I belong to high caste region, in our caste arrange married is very common.
but only 20 percent of Indian women can get married as love married.

I'm sure that Indian women who have not got married is almost virgin.
I could make sure the reason why their attitude is like teenager.

Now in Japan if I have to look for virgin over 20, it is too much difficult.
but 30 years ago in Japan, arrange married is very common.
my uncle also got married as parental arrange.

My English teacher said
now it is changing, but it will take more time till it has completely changed.

【印語】what is it today

I learned how to describe "what is it today in English" in today's Hindi class.

It is totally different form Japanese and English also, so 

it is so hard to remember.

In Hindi also it comes from planet name.

it is similar that monday comes from Mars,

saturday comes form Saturn and so on.

but I'm not familiar with the planets name of Hindi,  I was confused more.

At first we all revised the yesterday's summary, especially vowels and 

conversation phrases.

for example,(My laptop doesn't have Dev-nagari compound font)

Tuesday is the second day of week.

सपताह का तीसरा दिन कों सा है? 

Which day is the third day of week.

Hindi is very interesting word.

Maybe I'm interested at Indian culture and food and religions,

I think a language is culture, so if I really want to know about Indian culture.

as long as I study Indian culture, there is no way to prevent me from studying Hindi.

I'm not sure I can acquire or not. I try to learn Hindi and use it in usual life here.

it's like What, Where, How, When, Who in English.
In English it starts from sounds of W or H, on the other hand
In Hindi it starts from K sound.

though it was 2nd day, I learned so many kind of words, then I have to revise a lot.
It was great for me to prepare Hindi before stating the class.
if you attend the class without preparation, you might be really confused.
At least you have to learn vowels and consonant at first
as long as you want to acquire it.

anyway, today's class is also good.
I'm looking forward to tmr class.

【印語】Hindi class

My Hindi class started from today, I was really enjoying it.
but actually I was wondering whether I have to concentrate to study English or not.
After all I decided to study Hindi because I could study English in Japan,
as long as I want to. If I want to study Hindi in Japan, it would be very difficult.

First of all, I learned Hindi vowels, It has 12 kind of vowels.
I was surprised at that, Japanese has only 5 kind of vowels.
These kind of vowels is

इ(i) ई(ii) उ(u) ऊ(uu)
ऋ(ri)
ए(e) ऐ(ai)
ओ(o) औ(au)
अं(an) अ:(ah)
----------------------------------------------------------

अ: (ah) came from sanskrit, so any Hindi words never start from अ:(ah).
so I described Hindi has 12 vowels except for अ: (ah).
Today's lesson is very very basic and already I've known about Hindi vowels.
I got little boring but the teacher is much familiar with language history, and
she has good English skill also, therefore I was really satisfied.

All of language in the world comes from sanskrit,
e,g, "brother" in EN came from Bhai in HI.
and it has changed while it was transported between India to UK.

Off course I recorded this class by voice recorder,
if you want to listen, pls let me know,
and let's study together and go to India to communicate with them in Hindi.

I'm looking forward to tmr class,and final travel after all class finish,
because I want to try Hindi to make my travel
more interesting. Therefore it would be more great travel.

【英語】Jainism

In dehradun, there is some Jainism temples and a lot of Jainist.
Jainism is the oldest religion in India and popular Jainist is King Ashoka.

It has started in B.C. 5 and it is known as thought of non violence (Ahinsaa)
and hard self-torment. It affected many parts of Indian culture
and now their thought is left in India.

Jainism understand that all of things in our world have soul, like plant, animal and fire,
water, land, wind, atmosphere. therefore they concentrate not to kill them strictly,
and to care about their dicipline. Jainist worship for real all of beings.
Whenever strict jainist walk outside they have s broom.
they sweep and remove small insects like ant for not stepping it.

The most important way to keep Ahinsaa is fasting.
and the most ideal way to death is from starvation.
it is the most strict and nowadays there is not strict jainist.

So all i want to say is we should learn importance of things from jainism.
In japan there is a lot or restaurant, everyday they waste many many foods.
when I was secondary school student, I worked at convenience store.
(convenience store is kind of small size supermarket)
we sold lunch box and bread.
if those kind of food were left, even though it is not spoiled.
we have to throw away all food within that day.

Obviously we belong our mother earth, animals and plants and fishes also.
Human beings shouldn't think about themselves,
we have to try to live together.
if it is possible, the environment of us would change drastically better.

【英語】Is internet good or not?

Today's topic is "Is internet good or not?".
Before describing about this topic,
I will introduce today's Bollywood music.



In my opinion it is necessary for our life recently.
There is some people who don't live without internet also.

Obviously we all use Internet everyday, and it provides us very useful life.
If you are lost in unfamiliar place, you can precisely find the place you are on GPS.
As long as you have credit card, you can buy something you want every time and everywhere.
Whenever you want to search for something, you can get information about
that on some search engines with images that someone updated.
If you have SNS account, you would keep in touch with your friend and
know about them.
besides you can talk with someone who is living in foreign county on Skype.

so internet is very effective to improve our life I think, but
suppose young people use internet very often,
I have to change my opinion.

If now I have young kid.
(Though i can imagine that there is internet or not in my childhood)
I would prevent him or her from using internet strongly.
because young people are interested in a lot of thing,
like other sex, criminal, scandal and so on.
Off course they can not judge internet is good or not,so parents must prevent
them form using internet.

if they see some porno movie, picture that someone kills,
it is not good effect but so awful on education.
Young people easily influenced by something bad.
I think young people have to play with friend of theirs outside
and make a good relationship.
as long as they are child, parents have to lead them to right way.
even if your kid would go astray, it is your responsibility.

Nowadays there is a lot of strange news.
someone took a lot of picture in front of kindergarden,
someone stoke a woman at night,
someone took a movie that a woman is having a wash,
it feels like so psycho and very strange..
I think these problem might cause form internet.
because too much using internet makes their brain worse,
then they would become strangers and do something creepy.

So my conclusion is simple.
It depends on ability to judge bad thing or good thing.
if you are adult and not able to do that, you don't have to use internet.
young and aging, it doesn't matter in this case.
so we have to evacuate information you found.

【英語】About marriage

Occasionally We discuss about some topics in the class.
Today we talk about marriage, and relationship.
Then our opinion has divided in half perfectly,
because it is totally different from Indian culture and Japanese one.

today's music is below


Nowadays in India, they are generally applying arrange married.
According to my teacher, Indian women can't request to divorce,
even if husband beats wife and not working, drink everyday etc.

then we discuss that "Is it good to live relationship before getting married"
Indian team says strongly "NO".Japanese team says "YES".

Indian's reason is based on their own culture, so we can't convince them.
Their opinion is so strong but some japanese was trying to persuade..
The most important thing about married in india is religion and caste.
if you are Indian and try to make relationship with person who belongs different cast
and other religion. It is very hard to do as long as you belong different society.
I know totally what they want to say, but my opinion has not reached for them..
Indian culture has long history, and is so strong.
I felt fed up sightly So I gave up to discuss purposely.

Japanese opinion was based on our experience.
Someone said that it is useful way to understand each other.
if you got married without living together,
divorcing possibility might be increasing.
because it takes a long time to get to know each other.
I understood what she meant.

but in my opinion it depend on family.
in my case before getting married I planed to live with my wife.
but her parents prevented me from doing that.
I understood the reason clearly and they got married as arranged.

So all I want to say is if you are going to get married,
please think about partner seriously.
Obviously it is able to request to divorce from women,
but divorce is not good experience for each other.
and if you are female and mean to live with your boyfriend,
you have to think that you would be pregnant as long as continue to live together.

Making good relationship is to try to understand partner.
It is not duty but feelings.
but whenever your partner is in trouble, first of all you just have to feel
her feelings, after than you would do something for her from your nature.
I think it is most important to do like that without thinking.

in our family future, I can't imagine so far how our family will be.
but I have the confidence about our relationship.

【旅行】Haridwar その3

ディワリのにぎやかでちょっとやかましい夜のおかげで
朝の6時という、旅ではちょっと中途半端な時間に目が覚めて
二度寝をして、日本で再び働く夢を見て、気がつくと時刻は8時。

ホテルの中にある様なレストランに行けば
コンティネンタルスタイルの朝食が食べれますが
それ以外では朝食があまり充実していないので
近くにいた八百屋でバナナを2本買いました。(8RS)

どこでもそうかも知れませんが
旅行する時、朝飯の工面がどうもめんどくさくなりがちです。
そういうときは市場に行くか、そこら辺にいるサブジーワーラーから
果物を購入すると良いです。
朝は特にフレッシュなのでおいしいですよ。
何より、気持ちのいいおっさんが多いのが楽しい。

腹もふくれたので食後と言えばチャーエを飲みます。(10RS)
インドの野菜や果物の値段が去年と比べて2倍以上になったのは有名な話。
チャーエも昔は5RSで出していたそう。

ナイフでショウガを切って、石でがんがん叩き潰し
それを丸い紅茶と砂糖を煮た者の中に投入。
水が煮立つとすぐに、牛乳を投入して完成。
火力が強いのか僕が作るよりも早い。

遂に、ハリドワールを後にします。
電車の駅に向かう途中に、ムンバイから来たという
インド人旅行客が話しかけてきました。

男:HEY,ジャパニ。
俺、ムンバイで働いてるんだけど、33日休暇をとって旅行してるんだ。
この後バスでリシケシュいって、ヨガのトレーニングをした後
バラナシに行くんだ。それで電車のチケットをとりたいんだけど
どこでとれるか知ってる?
できれば、ダラムシャーラーとかマナリも行きたいんだよね。
この辺ヒンディーの記述ばっかりで、俺の言語のマラーティー語が
通じなくて困ってるんだよ。

俺:そうかー。ムンバイはマハーラシュトラなんだっけ。
インドって言語が100種類以上あるから大変よね。
北インドの人が南インドの人とコミュニケーションするのって英語しか無いもんね。
もし時間があるなら、ダラムシャーラーとかマナリとかも行ってみては??
ダラムシャーラーは俺も言ったけど、良い所よ。
ちなみにチケットはここでとれから、頑張ってね。
俺の電車は11時発だから行くわ、じゃあねー。

といって男と別れました。

Inquaryに聞いてみたら、何と15:30にディパーチャータイム変更!!
五時間半の遅れだそうです!!!!!!!!!

ハリドワール駅の様子

INDIA IS INDIA。
気を取り直して、昼飯にフライドライスとマサラチャーエ。
辛いし、脂っこい!!でもうまい。
マサラチャーエはしっかりカルダモン、シナモンの香りバッチリ。

ここがハリドワールの中で食べた中で一番うまかった

でも暇だ。。
もし駅でうんこしたくなったらどうしよう。
脆弱な日本人の俺は、あんな地獄の様な便所でうんこなんて出来ません。
なので、１時間前までレストランで待機。

時間が来たので再び駅へ。
駅への道は割とカオスで、バス、自動車、原チャリ、ビクラム、オート
サイクルリキシャー、馬車、物乞い、野良犬の家族(子犬かわいい)
おびただしい数のインド人でひしめき合っています。

駅に着くとまたあのムンバイから来たという男がいました。
男:なんでまだハリドワールにいるの?
俺:電車が5時間くらい遅れてたから、飯食ったりしてたよ。
男:半端じゃないね。
俺:バラナシ行きのチケットとれたの?
男:キャンセル待ちだけど取れたよ。
俺:じゃあ俺今度こそ行くわ。じゃーねー。

んで、また電車を待ちます。
ハリドワールの駅はめちゃくちゃたくさんの野猿が住んでいて
たまに屋根のヘリから小便してるので気をつけてね。
椅子に座ってたら、タラーって垂れてきてビビりまくった。

ファイナリー電車来ました。
乗り込み安堵し、しばらく外を眺めていたら停車。。
近くにいた少年に理由を聞くと
どうやらここから単線になるようで、先発の電車の通過待ちをすると言う。
1時間は待った。。。。

この駅にて

周りにはサトウキビ畑農家が沢山

その理由を聞いた少年が人なつこくて、近くに寄ってきて
フェイスブックはあるか?インドのシムは持ってるか?とか色々聞いてきます。
妹つれてくるから一緒に写真とろうといって妹つれてきました。

彼女にナマステ言っても全く反応ありません。
彼は、俺たちムスリムだからナマステ言わないんだ。
もちろん挨拶はアッサラーム・アライクム。

その後は、俺の質問攻め。言葉攻め。もちろんイスラムについて。

イスラム教はすごく静かでピースな宗教なんだ。
続けて彼は言いました。
俺、世界で一番アメリカ嫌い。嫌いっていうか許せない。

ウサマビンラディンはテロリストだけど
イスラム教徒はテロリストじゃない。
なのにアメリカ兵はイスラム教徒殺した。いっぱい殺した。
世界中でイスラム教を悪者に仕立て上げて
サダムフセインも殺した。
(フセインについて僕らウェスタンカルチャー達とは
全く違うイメージを持っています。長くなるのでここでは割愛)

俺のおじさんサウジアラビアではたらいてて
マッカの写真を送ってくれたんだ。見せてやるよ。
キリスト教以外の宗教に興味があるって言うと
是非コーランを読んでくれって。

会話の中で、一回だけひやっとした事がありました。
インド以外にどの国に行った事があるって聞かれて
俺がアメリカに二回言った事があると言ったときの彼の目。
(彼にはこの事について誤解の無い様に理由を説明しました)

日本人がニューヨーク爆撃したからって、家族や友達など
テロリストではない日本人殺されまくって、日本人はクレイジーだって
ありとあらゆるメディアを使って強烈にアピールしまくったら
俺も同じ目をします。

前にも書きましたが、インド人にとって宗教とカーストは国籍よりも大切。
宗教やカーストが違うだけで、結婚も出来ない事も多いのです。

俺はもう修復不可能なほどに。。

しばらくすると彼は家族のもとに戻って行きました。

そして遂にデヘラドゥーンに。
このおんぼろ電車はこの後、この足でヴァラナシに向かうそう。
大丈夫なのか。

最終日、電車が遅れたおかげで、非常に密な１日を過ごす事が出来ました。
インドに包み込まれたような最終日だったな。

【旅行】Haridwar その2

ハリドワール2日目はマンサデーヴィ寺院に行きます。
徒歩で1時間くらいの所にある小高い丘の上にあり
ハリドワールを悠然と見守っているこの寺院。

丘の上にぽつんとあるのがマンサデーヴィ寺院

朝飯を昨日と同じレストランで取り
(ハリドワールはあまりまともなレストランが無い)
マンサデーヴィについて聞いてみると、こっちに0.5Kだって。

とはいうものの、道が全く分からないので
とりあえず何となく歩いてみると
マンサデーヴィとヒンディーで書いてありました。
インドではローカル色が少しでも入ってくると
英語での記述は極端に減りヒンディーオンリーになるので気をつけてね。
バスはローカルはもちろん、デラックスクラスでも普通にヒンディーオンリー。

マンサデーヴィに登っている時
ダラムシャーラーの事を思い出しました。
あそこも坂が多くておっさんにはしんどかったなー。
同じ様に猿も多い。

途中の道には土産屋や、ボッタクリ、フェイクサドゥー
さらには、ここで靴を脱がないと寺院には入れないっていうチーター。
みなさん気をつけてね。
基本的に寺院への寄付は寺院へしましょう。
けして幾ら幾らって値段を指定してくる事は無いです。

無事にマンサデーヴィに到着。
中は沢山の観光客と、土産物屋、サドゥー、野良犬に野良猿。
インド人が言う、インドはカオスとはこの事かと思いました。
記念のコインみたいなのをもらって来た道と違う方面で下山。

昼間のハルキパウリも見てみました。
聖地独特の雰囲気がありますが
やっぱり夜の方が必見だと思います。

次は、やっぱりガンガー見たいので
ハル キ パウリから1Kほど歩いた所がガンガーの畔になっているので
行ってみました。
(シヴァの大っきい像があるのでその向こうがわ)

乾期のガンガーはエメラルドグリーンでしたー。

前に雨期明けすぐにリシケシュ行ったときのガンガーは
茶色でしたが、今回は求めていたエメラルドグリーン!!
これはここでしか見れないぜ。
ヴァラナシも良いですが、是非ウッタラカンドプラテージュへ!!

うっとりしていると、インド人の男性が話しかけてきました。
彼によると、今サウジアラビアで働いていて
ムスリムが多い国家なのは分かるんだけど、彼らの神が理解できない。
僕はヒンディズムだから、シヴァに対して祈るんだけど。。
と後ろに佇むシヴァの像を指差して言いました。

僕は、日本人の多くは宗教を持たないし
その中での大多数の宗教は仏教と神道。
仏教は知ってると思うけど、神様はいない。
神様は信じるものじゃなくて、憧れてそれに近づこうとするシンボル。
ヒンディーの神に対する概念も同じって、俺の先生が言ってたぜ。

って言ったら、俺今日お前と話せてすごく気分良い。
だって。

この後は、近場のレストランでターリーを。
このターリーがいけてなかった。。
完全に胃もたれを起こしてしまいました。
シャヒパニールはシナモンが効いてて新しくて美味しかった。
(shahii means loyal)

インタルネットカフェで昨日の夜予約しといた電車のE-chicketを印刷して
(軽くぼったくられた40RS)
外は灼熱なので、夕暮れ時までホテルの中で過ごして
また再びハル キ パルキへ。
昨日よりも若干盛り上がってる様にも感じるガート。
おびただしい数の人が、聖地に祈りを捧げています。

この後は、近くのレストラン(ここが一番うまかった)で
チョーミン食べてお湯でもかぶろうかって思ったら
お湯バケツのサービスは朝しかやってないだって。。

【旅行】Haridwar その１

ディワリの3連休を利用してホーリーシティの
ハリドワールに2泊3日で旅行をくわだてました。
タイムロスがあるのですが、
まずは１日目の日記を書きたいと思います。

今回は前もってのプランは全くたててなく
電車の予約もしていなかったので
念のため前情報として、色々人に聞いてみました。

学校のカウンセラー、マムタさん曰く
デヘラドゥーンから出る電車は必ずハリドワールを通過するので
予約は必要ないと言われたのを信じ
デヘラドゥーンレイルウェイステイシャンに。

その様子、確かに予約はいらんわいと。
人間の入る隙間が全くないくらいこんどるやないかと。
そりゃそうだ、今はインドの正月的なノリのディワリです。
人口1/8の日本の正月ですら激混みするのに。。
インドをなめていた。。

そういえば、インドに来て多分ヒングリッシュ以上に
人ごみの耐性がついたと思う。
小さな町であろうと、マルケットは渋谷とか原宿くらい人いるしね。。

電車はきっぱりあきらめて
いつも通りのISBTへビクラムに乗って移動。
ビクラムとは相乗りリクシャーのことで
込むときは1ビクラムに8人くらい乗ったりします。

正直、他のインドの地域についてはあまり詳しく知りませんが
当日ぽーんと予定が出来た時はバスの方が便利な気がします。
ちなみにISBTとはinter state bus terminalの略。
予約無しで、デリー、アグラまでのバスもあり
インドでは思いつきで長距離バスがしがし乗りまくる事が出来るんです。

オーディナリの信じられないくらいおんぼろバスに
これまた信じられないくらい人を詰め込みバスはハリドワールにむけて走ります。
確かにインドのバスは便利ですが
日本の道如きでよってる人は必ず、窓から顔出して
インディアンと一緒に吐く事になるので夜露死苦。

無事にハリドワールに到着。
宿を探しに行きます。
インドでは中級宿でもホットシャワーが無い所が多いので
宿探しはうだうだ考えずに観光に便利な所を選択。
もちろんホットシャワー無し。

メインで観光するのは明日。
今日は、ハリドワールといえばハル キ パウリ。
ガンガーが分岐した所にある中州(ハル キ パウリ)が有名な聖地に向かいます。
ホテルから1Kくらいです。
ローカルマルケットを通って遂に到着。

ハリドワールはシヴァの聖地という意味で
また、この時期ディワリというヒンディーのお祭りと当たり
クロックタワー周辺は大変なにぎわいです。
今年初めてインドで花火を見ました。

寄付の意味を込めて
100RSで花を買って、葉っぱで出来た器にのせて
火をともして川に流します。
横で、呪文のような詩を唱えるサドゥー
鳴り響く鐘の音と、巡礼者のざわめき
コレが聖地ハリドワールなのかと、夜の闇に涙が出そうになりました。

アラティの光が聖なる川を照らし
ここに来る者の汚れを焼き流し清めている。
僕は目を閉じて静かにハリドワールの臭いを感じ続けました。
