【印語】Hindi class

My Hindi class started from today, I was really enjoying it.
but actually I was wondering whether I have to concentrate to study English or not.
After all I decided to study Hindi because I could study English in Japan,
as long as I want to. If I want to study Hindi in Japan, it would be very difficult.

First of all, I learned Hindi vowels, It has 12 kind of vowels.
I was surprised at that, Japanese has only 5 kind of vowels.
These kind of vowels is

ऋ(ri)
ए(e) ऐ(ai)
ओ(o) औ(au)
अं(an) अ:(ah)

अ: (ah) came from sanskrit, so any Hindi words never start from अ:(ah).
so I described Hindi has 12 vowels except for अ: (ah).
Today's lesson is very very basic and already I've known about Hindi vowels.
I got little boring but the teacher is much familiar with language history, and
she has good English skill also, therefore I was really satisfied.

All of language in the world comes from sanskrit,
e,g, "brother" in EN came from Bhai in HI.
and it has changed while it was transported between India to UK.

Off course I recorded this class by voice recorder,
if you want to listen, pls let me know,
and let's study together and go to India to communicate with them in Hindi.

I'm looking forward to tmr class,and final travel after all class finish,
because I want to try Hindi to make my travel
more interesting. Therefore it would be more great travel.

【英語】Jainism

In dehradun, there is some Jainism temples and a lot of Jainist.
Jainism is the oldest religion in India and popular Jainist is King Ashoka.

It has started in B.C. 5 and it is known as thought of non violence (Ahinsaa)
and hard self-torment. It affected many parts of Indian culture
and now their thought is left in India.

Jainism understand that all of things in our world have soul, like plant, animal and fire,
water, land, wind, atmosphere. therefore they concentrate not to kill them strictly,
and to care about their dicipline. Jainist worship for real all of beings.
Whenever strict jainist walk outside they have s broom.
they sweep and remove small insects like ant for not stepping it.

The most important way to keep Ahinsaa is fasting.
and the most ideal way to death is from starvation.
it is the most strict and nowadays there is not strict jainist.

So all i want to say is we should learn importance of things from jainism.
In japan there is a lot or restaurant, everyday they waste many many foods.
when I was secondary school student, I worked at convenience store.
(convenience store is kind of small size supermarket)
we sold lunch box and bread.
if those kind of food were left, even though it is not spoiled.
we have to throw away all food within that day.

Obviously we belong our mother earth, animals and plants and fishes also.
Human beings shouldn't think about themselves,
we have to try to live together.
if it is possible, the environment of us would change drastically better.

【英語】Is internet good or not?

Today's topic is "Is internet good or not?".
Before describing about this topic,
I will introduce today's Bollywood music.



In my opinion it is necessary for our life recently.
There is some people who don't live without internet also.

Obviously we all use Internet everyday, and it provides us very useful life.
If you are lost in unfamiliar place, you can precisely find the place you are on GPS.
As long as you have credit card, you can buy something you want every time and everywhere.
Whenever you want to search for something, you can get information about
that on some search engines with images that someone updated.
If you have SNS account, you would keep in touch with your friend and
know about them.
besides you can talk with someone who is living in foreign county on Skype.

so internet is very effective to improve our life I think, but
suppose young people use internet very often,
I have to change my opinion.

If now I have young kid.
(Though i can imagine that there is internet or not in my childhood)
I would prevent him or her from using internet strongly.
because young people are interested in a lot of thing,
like other sex, criminal, scandal and so on.
Off course they can not judge internet is good or not,so parents must prevent
them form using internet.

if they see some porno movie, picture that someone kills,
it is not good effect but so awful on education.
Young people easily influenced by something bad.
I think young people have to play with friend of theirs outside
and make a good relationship.
as long as they are child, parents have to lead them to right way.
even if your kid would go astray, it is your responsibility.

Nowadays there is a lot of strange news.
someone took a lot of picture in front of kindergarden,
someone stoke a woman at night,
someone took a movie that a woman is having a wash,
it feels like so psycho and very strange..
I think these problem might cause form internet.
because too much using internet makes their brain worse,
then they would become strangers and do something creepy.

So my conclusion is simple.
It depends on ability to judge bad thing or good thing.
if you are adult and not able to do that, you don't have to use internet.
young and aging, it doesn't matter in this case.
so we have to evacuate information you found.

【英語】About marriage

Occasionally We discuss about some topics in the class.
Today we talk about marriage, and relationship.
Then our opinion has divided in half perfectly,
because it is totally different from Indian culture and Japanese one.

today's music is below


Nowadays in India, they are generally applying arrange married.
According to my teacher, Indian women can't request to divorce,
even if husband beats wife and not working, drink everyday etc.

then we discuss that "Is it good to live relationship before getting married"
Indian team says strongly "NO".Japanese team says "YES".

Indian's reason is based on their own culture, so we can't convince them.
Their opinion is so strong but some japanese was trying to persuade..
The most important thing about married in india is religion and caste.
if you are Indian and try to make relationship with person who belongs different cast
and other religion. It is very hard to do as long as you belong different society.
I know totally what they want to say, but my opinion has not reached for them..
Indian culture has long history, and is so strong.
I felt fed up sightly So I gave up to discuss purposely.

Japanese opinion was based on our experience.
Someone said that it is useful way to understand each other.
if you got married without living together,
divorcing possibility might be increasing.
because it takes a long time to get to know each other.
I understood what she meant.

but in my opinion it depend on family.
in my case before getting married I planed to live with my wife.
but her parents prevented me from doing that.
I understood the reason clearly and they got married as arranged.

So all I want to say is if you are going to get married,
please think about partner seriously.
Obviously it is able to request to divorce from women,
but divorce is not good experience for each other.
and if you are female and mean to live with your boyfriend,
you have to think that you would be pregnant as long as continue to live together.

Making good relationship is to try to understand partner.
It is not duty but feelings.
but whenever your partner is in trouble, first of all you just have to feel
her feelings, after than you would do something for her from your nature.
I think it is most important to do like that without thinking.

in our family future, I can't imagine so far how our family will be.
but I have the confidence about our relationship.

【旅行】Haridwar その3

ディワリのにぎやかでちょっとやかましい夜のおかげで
朝の6時という、旅ではちょっと中途半端な時間に目が覚めて
二度寝をして、日本で再び働く夢を見て、気がつくと時刻は8時。

ホテルの中にある様なレストランに行けば
コンティネンタルスタイルの朝食が食べれますが
それ以外では朝食があまり充実していないので
近くにいた八百屋でバナナを2本買いました。(8RS)

八百屋(サブジーワーラ)

どこでもそうかも知れませんが
旅行する時、朝飯の工面がどうもめんどくさくなりがちです。
そういうときは市場に行くか、そこら辺にいるサブジーワーラーから
果物を購入すると良いです。
朝は特にフレッシュなのでおいしいですよ。
何より、気持ちのいいおっさんが多いのが楽しい。

腹もふくれたので食後と言えばチャーエを飲みます。(10RS)
インドの野菜や果物の値段が去年と比べて2倍以上になったのは有名な話。
チャーエも昔は5RSで出していたそう。

チャーエ屋のおっさんは
ナイフでショウガを切って、石でがんがん叩き潰し
それを丸い紅茶と砂糖を煮た者の中に投入。
水が煮立つとすぐに、牛乳を投入して完成。
火力が強いのか僕が作るよりも早い。

遂に、ハリドワールを後にします。
電車の駅に向かう途中に、ムンバイから来たという
インド人旅行客が話しかけてきました。

男:HEY,ジャパニ。
俺、ムンバイで働いてるんだけど、33日休暇をとって旅行してるんだ。
この後バスでリシケシュいって、ヨガのトレーニングをした後
バラナシに行くんだ。それで電車のチケットをとりたいんだけど
どこでとれるか知ってる?
できれば、ダラムシャーラーとかマナリも行きたいんだよね。
この辺ヒンディーの記述ばっかりで、俺の言語のマラーティー語が
通じなくて困ってるんだよ。

俺:そうかー。ムンバイはマハーラシュトラなんだっけ。
インドって言語が100種類以上あるから大変よね。
北インドの人が南インドの人とコミュニケーションするのって英語しか無いもんね。
もし時間があるなら、ダラムシャーラーとかマナリとかも行ってみては??
ダラムシャーラーは俺も言ったけど、良い所よ。
ちなみにチケットはここでとれから、頑張ってね。
俺の電車は11時発だから行くわ、じゃあねー。

といって男と別れました。
が!!僕の11時発の列車はどこを探しても見当たりません。
Inquaryに聞いてみたら、何と15:30にディパーチャータイム変更!!
五時間半の遅れだそうです!!!!!!!!!

ハリドワール駅の様子

INDIA IS INDIA。
気を取り直して、昼飯にフライドライスとマサラチャーエ。
辛いし、脂っこい!!でもうまい。
マサラチャーエはしっかりカルダモン、シナモンの香りバッチリ。

ここがハリドワールの中で食べた中で一番うまかった

でも暇だ。。
もし駅でうんこしたくなったらどうしよう。
脆弱な日本人の俺は、あんな地獄の様な便所でうんこなんて出来ません。
なので、１時間前までレストランで待機。

時間が来たので再び駅へ。
駅への道は割とカオスで、バス、自動車、原チャリ、ビクラム、オート
サイクルリキシャー、馬車、物乞い、野良犬の家族(子犬かわいい)
おびただしい数のインド人でひしめき合っています。

駅に着くとまたあのムンバイから来たという男がいました。
男:なんでまだハリドワールにいるの?
俺:電車が5時間くらい遅れてたから、飯食ったりしてたよ。
男:半端じゃないね。
俺:バラナシ行きのチケットとれたの?
男:キャンセル待ちだけど取れたよ。
俺:じゃあ俺今度こそ行くわ。じゃーねー。

んで、また電車を待ちます。
ハリドワールの駅はめちゃくちゃたくさんの野猿が住んでいて
たまに屋根のヘリから小便してるので気をつけてね。
椅子に座ってたら、タラーって垂れてきてビビりまくった。

ファイナリー電車来ました。
乗り込み安堵し、しばらく外を眺めていたら停車。。
近くにいた少年に理由を聞くと
どうやらここから単線になるようで、先発の電車の通過待ちをすると言う。
1時間は待った。。。。

この駅にて

周りにはサトウキビ畑農家が沢山

その理由を聞いた少年が人なつこくて、近くに寄ってきて
フェイスブックはあるか?インドのシムは持ってるか?とか色々聞いてきます。
妹つれてくるから一緒に写真とろうといって妹つれてきました。

彼女にナマステ言っても全く反応ありません。
彼は、俺たちムスリムだからナマステ言わないんだ。
もちろん挨拶はアッサラーム・アライクム。

その後は、俺の質問攻め。言葉攻め。もちろんイスラムについて。

イスラム教はすごく静かでピースな宗教なんだ。
続けて彼は言いました。
俺、世界で一番アメリカ嫌い。嫌いっていうか許せない。

ウサマビンラディンはテロリストだけど
イスラム教徒はテロリストじゃない。
なのにアメリカ兵はイスラム教徒殺した。いっぱい殺した。
世界中でイスラム教を悪者に仕立て上げて
サダムフセインも殺した。
(フセインについて僕らウェスタンカルチャー達とは
全く違うイメージを持っています。長くなるのでここでは割愛)

俺のおじさんサウジアラビアではたらいてて
マッカの写真を送ってくれたんだ。見せてやるよ。
キリスト教以外の宗教に興味があるって言うと
是非コーランを読んでくれって。

会話の中で、一回だけひやっとした事がありました。
インド以外にどの国に行った事があるって聞かれて
俺がアメリカに二回言った事があると言ったときの彼の目。
(彼にはこの事について誤解の無い様に理由を説明しました)

日本人がニューヨーク爆撃したからって、家族や友達など
テロリストではない日本人殺されまくって、日本人はクレイジーだって
ありとあらゆるメディアを使って強烈にアピールしまくったら
俺も同じ目をします。

前にも書きましたが、インド人にとって宗教とカーストは国籍よりも大切。
宗教やカーストが違うだけで、結婚も出来ない事も多いのです。

俺はもう修復不可能なほどに。。

しばらくすると彼は家族のもとに戻って行きました。

そして遂にデヘラドゥーンに。
このおんぼろ電車はこの後、この足でヴァラナシに向かうそう。
大丈夫なのか。

最終日、電車が遅れたおかげで、非常に密な１日を過ごす事が出来ました。
インドに包み込まれたような最終日だったな。

【旅行】Haridwar その2

ハリドワール2日目はマンサデーヴィ寺院に行きます。
徒歩で1時間くらいの所にある小高い丘の上にあり
ハリドワールを悠然と見守っているこの寺院。

丘の上にぽつんとあるのがマンサデーヴィ寺院

朝飯を昨日と同じレストランで取り
(ハリドワールはあまりまともなレストランが無い)
マンサデーヴィについて聞いてみると、こっちに0.5Kだって。

とはいうものの、道が全く分からないので
とりあえず何となく歩いてみると
マンサデーヴィとヒンディーで書いてありました。
インドではローカル色が少しでも入ってくると
英語での記述は極端に減りヒンディーオンリーになるので気をつけてね。
バスはローカルはもちろん、デラックスクラスでも普通にヒンディーオンリー。

マンサデーヴィに登っている時
ダラムシャーラーの事を思い出しました。
あそこも坂が多くておっさんにはしんどかったなー。
同じ様に猿も多い。

途中の道には土産屋や、ボッタクリ、フェイクサドゥー
さらには、ここで靴を脱がないと寺院には入れないっていうチーター。
みなさん気をつけてね。
基本的に寺院への寄付は寺院へしましょう。
けして幾ら幾らって値段を指定してくる事は無いです。

無事にマンサデーヴィに到着。
中は沢山の観光客と、土産物屋、サドゥー、野良犬に野良猿。
インド人が言う、インドはカオスとはこの事かと思いました。
記念のコインみたいなのをもらって来た道と違う方面で下山。

昼間のハルキパウリも見てみました。
聖地独特の雰囲気がありますが
やっぱり夜の方が必見だと思います。

次は、やっぱりガンガー見たいので
ハル キ パウリから1Kほど歩いた所がガンガーの畔になっているので
行ってみました。
(シヴァの大っきい像があるのでその向こうがわ)

乾期のガンガーはエメラルドグリーンでしたー。

前に雨期明けすぐにリシケシュ行ったときのガンガーは
茶色でしたが、今回は求めていたエメラルドグリーン!!
これはここでしか見れないぜ。
ヴァラナシも良いですが、是非ウッタラカンドプラテージュへ!!

うっとりしていると、インド人の男性が話しかけてきました。
彼によると、今サウジアラビアで働いていて
ムスリムが多い国家なのは分かるんだけど、彼らの神が理解できない。
僕はヒンディズムだから、シヴァに対して祈るんだけど。。
と後ろに佇むシヴァの像を指差して言いました。

僕は、日本人の多くは宗教を持たないし
その中での大多数の宗教は仏教と神道。
仏教は知ってると思うけど、神様はいない。
神様は信じるものじゃなくて、憧れてそれに近づこうとするシンボル。
ヒンディーの神に対する概念も同じって、俺の先生が言ってたぜ。

って言ったら、俺今日お前と話せてすごく気分良い。
だって。

この後は、近場のレストランでターリーを。
このターリーがいけてなかった。。
完全に胃もたれを起こしてしまいました。
シャヒパニールはシナモンが効いてて新しくて美味しかった。
(shahii means loyal)

インタルネットカフェで昨日の夜予約しといた電車のE-chicketを印刷して
(軽くぼったくられた40RS)
外は灼熱なので、夕暮れ時までホテルの中で過ごして
また再びハル キ パルキへ。
昨日よりも若干盛り上がってる様にも感じるガート。
おびただしい数の人が、聖地に祈りを捧げています。

この後は、近くのレストラン(ここが一番うまかった)で
チョーミン食べてお湯でもかぶろうかって思ったら
お湯バケツのサービスは朝しかやってないだって。。

【旅行】Haridwar その１

ディワリの3連休を利用してホーリーシティの
ハリドワールに2泊3日で旅行をくわだてました。
タイムロスがあるのですが、
まずは１日目の日記を書きたいと思います。

今回は前もってのプランは全くたててなく
電車の予約もしていなかったので
念のため前情報として、色々人に聞いてみました。

学校のカウンセラー、マムタさん曰く
デヘラドゥーンから出る電車は必ずハリドワールを通過するので
予約は必要ないと言われたのを信じ
デヘラドゥーンレイルウェイステイシャンに。

その様子、確かに予約はいらんわいと。
人間の入る隙間が全くないくらいこんどるやないかと。
そりゃそうだ、今はインドの正月的なノリのディワリです。
人口1/8の日本の正月ですら激混みするのに。。
インドをなめていた。。

そういえば、インドに来て多分ヒングリッシュ以上に
人ごみの耐性がついたと思う。
小さな町であろうと、マルケットは渋谷とか原宿くらい人いるしね。。

電車はきっぱりあきらめて
いつも通りのISBTへビクラムに乗って移動。
ビクラムとは相乗りリクシャーのことで
込むときは1ビクラムに8人くらい乗ったりします。

正直、他のインドの地域についてはあまり詳しく知りませんが
当日ぽーんと予定が出来た時はバスの方が便利な気がします。
ちなみにISBTとはinter state bus terminalの略。
予約無しで、デリー、アグラまでのバスもあり
インドでは思いつきで長距離バスがしがし乗りまくる事が出来るんです。

オーディナリの信じられないくらいおんぼろバスに
これまた信じられないくらい人を詰め込みバスはハリドワールにむけて走ります。
確かにインドのバスは便利ですが
日本の道如きでよってる人は必ず、窓から顔出して
インディアンと一緒に吐く事になるので夜露死苦。

無事にハリドワールに到着。
宿を探しに行きます。
インドでは中級宿でもホットシャワーが無い所が多いので
宿探しはうだうだ考えずに観光に便利な所を選択。
もちろんホットシャワー無し。

メインで観光するのは明日。
今日は、ハリドワールといえばハル キ パウリ。
ガンガーが分岐した所にある中州(ハル キ パウリ)が有名な聖地に向かいます。
ホテルから1Kくらいです。
ローカルマルケットを通って遂に到着。

ハリドワールはシヴァの聖地という意味で
また、この時期ディワリというヒンディーのお祭りと当たり
クロックタワー周辺は大変なにぎわいです。
今年初めてインドで花火を見ました。

寄付の意味を込めて
100RSで花を買って、葉っぱで出来た器にのせて
火をともして川に流します。
横で、呪文のような詩を唱えるサドゥー
鳴り響く鐘の音と、巡礼者のざわめき
コレが聖地ハリドワールなのかと、夜の闇に涙が出そうになりました。

アラティの光が聖なる川を照らし
ここに来る者の汚れを焼き流し清めている。
僕は目を閉じて静かにハリドワールの臭いを感じ続けました。
